Where To Look

Moving to a new city can be very exciting, but there are a great many new things to adjust to. You may have known just the place to go in your old city when looking to organize a Morilee wedding, but where to look in your new town is way beyond you. For those new to Stockton, California, here are a few helpful hints to get you on your way.

As much as we'd like to, we can't all dine out every night. Luckily, there are a great number of markets in and around the city for you to choose from. In addition to the larger chain supermarkets, there are several seasonal farmers markets, such as the Weberstown Mall and Downtown Stockton Markets. For those with little creatures to feed - no, we're not talking about the kids - there are several pet stores, both local and chain, where you can find everything from dog food to aquarium test kits. Of course, on those nights you'll want to get out of the house, there's no where better than downtown Stockton's waterfront for both good food and great atmosphere.

For all those everyday household products, big chain stores such as Target and Wal-Mart offer big selection at low prices, whether you're after organic diapers or vacuum cleaners. When you're in need of having a prescription filled, there are many chain and local pharmacies to choose from, such as London Drugs on East Oak St. If the handyman in your household is looking for supplies, there are over thirty hardware stores in Stockton to pick from, most of which are located just off the major freeways around the city.

When it comes to shopping, there's no place quite like downtown when you're looking to make a day of things. With revitalization of the area in full swing, shoppers can treat themselves to some of the most popular and hidden gem stores Stockton has to offer. For the treasure hunters out there, Stockton hosts many flea markets throughout the year, where shoppers can score great deals on scrap gold rings and unique antiques. On those dreary weather days, head to any of the local shopping malls downtown for a day of eating, shopping, and fun. The Lincoln Shopping Center is one of the best spots in town for jewelry lovers, and Sherwood Mall has many tech shops for anyone looking for TREO leather cases. Anyone looking for great clothes at a great price can try one of the many department stores in town, like Marshall's on Grand Canal Boulevard or Macy's on Pacific Avenue.

Of course the best way to find those spots for you is to simply take a walk or drive and enjoy Stockton's sights, sounds, and neighborhoods.
