Advice and Inspiration

Other times it helps to get advice from someone like you who has already conquered his or her challenges. The San Joaquin County Family Resource Center is your portal to moral support. Get advice and counsel from one of our staff or volunteers or join a support group to share your struggles with people who are in the same boat. It's not just for parents, either. Child care workers are welcome as well.
Workshops
Workshops are a great way to meet people in your new area and find new friends with the same interests as you. Workshops hosted by the San Joaquin Family Center might be your first step to becoming a Hamilton, Ontario lawyer or even just a better parent. Some of the workshops offered at the center include: Parents as Teachers, First Aid and CPR training, Learning Adventures for Preschoolers, School Readiness, Child Development, nutrition, and working with kids with behavioral problems. For those concerned about language issues in learning, workshops are offered in both English and Spanish.
Child Care
It can be difficult to know who to trust with your children when you've just moved to a new city and don't know anyone. To save you from having to get treatment for an anxiety disorder in Hamilton, let the San Joaquin Family Center give you with a free professional child care referral. They can connect you with trusted providers of in-home care, day care, preschool, before and after school programs, and sick care, as well as nannies and babysitters. For those who can't afford to hire help on their own, the center also has a subsidized child care program.
Food
The Family Center's Child Care Food Program is designed to help caregivers provide balanced, nutritious meals to their charges that will help them grow up to become Brampton dentists. Licensed providers are eligible for training with the program and also for certain rebates on the food that they buy. Eligibility is determined by the individual child being fed.
